The Mitsubishi Fuso Canteris a commercial vehicle that has been produced by Mitsubishi Fuso since 1963. The Canter is designed for the light truck range. At the base was the Mitsubishi T720. Although earlier models were mainly sold in Asia, later models were exported to the world market. European models come exclusively from Mitsubishi Fuso in the Tramagal factorry in Portugal.
The word Canter comes from the English word that describes the galloping of a horse to emphasize the thoroughbred character of Mitsubishi trucks.
In 2017, the first Mitsubishi Fuso eCanter went into production, making it the first major manufacturer to introduce a full electric truck to the market.
