PARTS MITSUBISHI SPACE STAR
The Mitsubishi Space Star was produced from 1998 to 2005. The first generation Space Star was based on the Mitsubishi Carisma (also produced in Born from the second half of the nineties). The model was available with several four-cylinder petrol (1.3 to 1.8-litre) and diesel engines (1.9). A characteristic of the Space Star is its slightly higher seating position compared to normal passenger cars, which improves the view of the traffic. Apart from a sliding and foldable back seat and more than enough storage space in the interior, the Space Star doesn't offer anything (like for example) removable seats that you might expect in a midi-MPV.
From the facelift in 2002, the Space Star got new, more economical engines. Mitsubishi expanded the range of petrol engines by 1.6 to fill the gap between 1.3 and 1.8. A stronger diesel version (a 1.8 with 115 hp) was also possible. The interior was also given a more modern, tighter design and Mitsubishi changed the suspension.
With the second generation Space Star, introduced by Mitsubishi at the beginning of 2013, the brand is responding to the trend towards compact, economical models that offer their owners tax advantages. Therefore, two three-cylinder petrol engines with a capacity of 1,0- or 1,2-litre are used as engines. Due to their size, they do not excel in power and traction, but perform better in terms of economy. According to the manufacturer, an average consumption of 1 in 25 must be feasible.
