The Mitsubishi Delica - Space Gear is a range of light commercial vehicles and vans designed and built by Mitsubishi since 1968. Originally, they were based on a Cabin Pickup truck car. The name Delcia comes from a play on words between Delivery and Car.
This van has had many names on export markets, such as the names L300 (later L400) in Europe, Jamaica and New Zealand, Express and Starwagon
in Australia, and Van and Wagon in the United States.
The passenger versions were known as the Delica Star Wagon from 1979 until the introduction of the Delica Space Gear in 1994, which was simply called Space Gear in Europe.
In Europe, the vans, which have always been a great success in the Netherlands and Belgium, have not been sold for some time.
